Website care

Ongoing website support

Optional support, quoted for your site. Agree the work, price and response times before it starts.

A scope for your site

Updates, backups, security checks and small changes can be included. Your written scope sets the coverage and limits. Your quote sets any edit allowance. Extra work needs your written approval before it starts.

Your quote names the website, tasks, schedule, limits and reporting included. Hosting, domains and paid services are billed to you directly. Your site and accounts stay yours.

Before support starts

I check the site, then we agree what gets updated and backed up, backup frequency and retention, security checks and how recovery is tested. A restore test must pass before ongoing maintenance begins.

The scope sets response and service windows, timezone, how to report a problem, billing and cancellation terms. It does not promise 24/7 availability, a same-day response or a guaranteed fix time.

When more work is needed

I don’t bill for anything you didn’t approve in writing. If something comes up that isn’t in the quote, I tell you first and give you a written price, and you decide whether to go ahead. A text or email is fine.

New pages, features, redesigns, major platform upgrades and separate automations need their own quote. Initial investigation of an incident has an agreed limit; further repairs need your written approval.

If my maintenance breaks something, I correct or roll it back and check the result at no charge. That work does not use your edit or investigation allowance.

Fixing my work

For new project scopes, I propose 30 calendar days after acceptance to report defects against the agreed work. A defect reported in time stays covered until resolved, at no extra charge. You do not need ongoing support, and it does not use any edit allowance.

Existing client terms stay in place. Ongoing support is optional; it is not a condition of owning your website.
